review 1: Panečku, to bola jazda! Oproti Prachožroutom veľký posun, už by som knihu asi ani nezaradila medzi YA. V istých ohľadoch veľmi surové, veľmi hlboké a tiež dosť akčné a napínavé!
review 2: I usually try not to compare books to one another (though I admittedly fail with Sandman). That being said, I read this after being floored by Ship Breaker, which is both sequel and original, since I surmise this takes place long before Nailer climbs through his first ship. I felt underwh
... moreelmed for some of it, actually forgetting several times that I had the book from the library, but in retrospect, I think I had just stopped reading at a lull. More violent than its predecessor, I found it hard to sympathize with some of its I've-got-to-kill-to-stay-alive characters. Mahlia was spunky, though, her heart in a good place, I could tell Mouse was still in there (though I was always on edge, hoping the next page wouldn't be the one that made him hollow and cold) and it was cool to see some of what made Tool into who he is in Ship Breaker. Like that book, this one has many moments of fervent page turning and nail biting. Bacigalupi's adult novel is on my to-read list, and I'm definitely looking forward to that one, whenever I get to it. less

Companion - but not sequel to Ship Breaker. Another good one - but could possibly be continued.

Hmm...I didn't love it, but not did I hate it. I guess it was OK.
