review 1: Patrick Taylor put together, in order, the newspaper columns that led to the writing of the Irish Country Doctor series. If you are a reader of the series you will recognize the characters and many of the stories. There were a few new ones. The focus of the columns were short vignettes about Doctor O'Reilly; always an interesting character. Enjoyed it, but because I had read the series it was repetitive.
review 2: A compilation of the famous Dr. Fingal O'Reilly stories before he became so famous. Patrick Taylor originally wrote about the Irish doctor in a series of columns published in Stitches: The Journal of Medical Humour before publishing them as a book in later years. Doc's antics will crack you up as he interacts with his Ulster town residents at the
... morepub, the Mucky Duck, and in his surgery. Our favorite characters are back like Kinky, Donal Donnelly, and O'Reilly's leg humping, very large dog, Arthur. less
