review 1: More good stuff from Watts who fleshes out the game's narrative, provides some psychological depth to the characters and has a few sly digs at the gaming tropes such as boss-fights, placements of ammo caches etc. Like all of Watts' work it's tough, tech-heavy, and would be considered a decent, fairly straight-forward sci-fi novel if it wasnt for the VG link which has probably led to it being overlooked/dismissed.

... morehat drew me in. Watts used the ability of books to flesh out inner thoughts and ideas to make the most of Crysis 2's plotholes, and actually created a nice, coherent, and at times gripping story. I had pretty low expectations coming into this, and was pleasantly surprised. less
