review 1: Ohhhhhhhhh, good one....finally. But I must say, I did kind of skip over the moth details, it lost me there. I'm more about human interactions. This would make a great movie! Sisters, but in a harmful and disturbing relationship...No! Not that way! The whole family is somewhat messed up, but they didn't start out that way. It's Ginny, the older one, the one with some problems that brings about the unraveling of her family thru no fault of her own. Read it in one sitting, that good. Read it!!!If you like the movie "Angels and Insects" then this book is for YOU!
review 2: i loved this book, but it was one of those books that took me absolutely ages to read, what with all the pausing and thinking and such. it was something i picked up in a charity shop, which i or
... moreigionally didnt have high hopes for, but picked it up on the whim that i had no books to read, and it was getting dusty on my shelf. the solitary old woman character intruiged me, as I've read alot of books that have young protagonists. it was an interesting take on the fall of mental illness which lead to the destruction of the view of a full life through rose tinted glasses. i feel for the main character, Ginni, because it is one of those times when a person could have lived the rest of their life without having to come to the reality of the situation. but i also feel for her sister. she has kept so much from her throughout there life, had left home to escape what wasnt the best atmosphere, and made the best out of what she had. the one thing that confused me though, was that it mentions in the book that ginni found a photograph of vivian and her husband, and that she is with child. this made me wonder whether the accident closer to the beginning actually happened or was a construct of ginni's imagination. i dont know. overall, the book was good. i often became frustrated with the main characters simple mindedness, and had to be patient as i read. less

actually didn't finish this one. It's been this long and I just can't get into it.

A big drama hidden in a chamber story. One of the best books I have ever read.

Freaky, not at all what I expected and wasn't sure how it was going to end.
