Boys, Girls, and Other Hazardous Materials had me smiling and continuously turning the pages!

I expected there to be a more romance in this book and I was slowly realizing this as I was getting closer and closer to the end. But, I do have to say this was a good story overall.

Charlie is starting her freshman year at a new high school in hopes she can leave her past behind. To her surprise, she sees her childhood friend Will.

Later in the story, she learns that her middle school problems are somehow finding her. Charlie learns to take risks on doing what is right for not only her but for the people around her. I think this book really portrayed real world problems and how Charlie worked through them.
