Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ex-Machina), Academy Award® nominee Thomas Haden Church (Best Supporting Actor, Sideways, 2004), Christina Applegate (Bad Moms) and Nina Dobrev (Flatliners) headline the all-star comedy CRASH PAD, crashing onto DVD December 5 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Gleeson thinks he’s found true love with an older woman (Applegate) — only to learn that she’s married and that his fling is merely an instrument of revenge against her neglectful husband (Church). He threatens to blackmail her by telling her husband, but his plan backfires when a nostalgic Church decides the best way to get back at his wife is to move in with Gleeson and adopt the slacker’s life of debauchery. The DVD also comes loaded with a laugh-out-loud gag reel.
Synopsis:
A hopeless romantic (Domhnall Gleeson) thinks he’s found true love with an older woman (Christina Applegate) only to learn that she’s married and their encounter was merely an instrument of revenge against her neglectful husband (Thomas Haden Church). Initially out for blood the husband finds himself strangely sympathetic to the romantic’s plight and decides the best way for the two of them to get revenge is by moving in together, cutting her out and living a bachelor’s life.
Directed by Kevin Tent from a screenplay by Jeremy Catalino, CRASH PAD was produced by William Horberg and Lauren Bratman and executive produced by Alexander Payne, Kevin Tent, Dominic Ianno, Jon Ferro, Greg Malcolm and Vicki Sotheran.
