January TBR 2018

Happy new year WordPress. i think 2018 is going to be a wonderful year of reading, so here is a quick glance at some books I’m hopeful to start reading this month. I don’t normally have a goal on how many books I want to read, but if I could read 50 books or more this year that would be grand.

Hide and Seek by MJ Arlidge.

I recently came across this book  at Target. Hide and Seek is about a young woman named Helen Grace who was framed for a murder. She’s locked up in a murky prison with people who desire to kill her. She’s also investigating who is behind the recent murder’s within her prison. I read a few chapters today. This thriller seems like something I will enjoy very much and the cover is pretty neat.

Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo  I was pretty excited to read this book when it was officially published, yet I never got around to reading it last year. Wonder Woman was by far my favorite film of 2017.  I’ve heard the novel is a  bit similar to the film, so I’m expecting a real page turner here. Plus this novel was created by Leigh Bardugo. I’ve heard nothing, but praise about this author.

Go Set the Watchmen by Harper Lee

Maybe you’ve been living under a rock, but Harper Lee is the woman who created a best seller known as To Kill a Mockingbird. There is also a film based on this book. She published this sequel back in 2015. Around 2016 or early last year I read from TKAM. It has become one of my favorite books, so I’m interested to see what happened in the next book with the characters like Scout being all grown up. I’m guessing it has modern aspects of life featured in the  second story? Only one way to find out. The Passenger by Lisa  Lutz The passenger is another little book I found in Target. The Passenger was published in 2016 and has become a pretty popular book. The Passenger is a thriller with lots of twist and turns. I’m so happy to finally have my own copy and can’t wait to check this story out. These are a few of my books I’m hopeful to read to begin the new year. If you’ve read any of these books please let me know what you thought about them, but please no spoilers! Did you enjoy this post? If so, thank you very much.  I’d love to do a TBR on here each month in 2018. Take care and remember to be positive, because positiveness is better than negativity!
