Yeah, I’m diving right in with this one. Maybe it’ll make the next one come sooner (no logic, I know. Don’t judge).
It’s… Phego’s turn!
Finally. The broody, mysterious and very quiet Dire has intrigued me from the very beginning. He’s tasked with caring for his brother’s mate while he’s on a mission, and with her insistent on having her friend with her, in case she goes into labor or any complications arise, Michaela is called.
Michaela is needed. Her long time friend invites her for a visit through her mate’s absence and being an omega female, a doctor, too, her pack alpha insists she’s accompanied by a bodyguard.
Little do Phego and Michaela know their lives would be forever altered when they first lay eyes on each other. Phego resigned himself to never having a mate. With his past so charged and just waiting to come back and bite him in the ass, he’s very reluctant in getting himself involved with Michaela.
Michaela isn’t very comfortable starting a relationship, not when she’s basically a stranger in her own pack and so well guarded.
You can imagine the complexity of this mated couple. There are so many twists and turns and new revelations (on WHOA big one) condensed so beautifully into this story, I couldn’t really put it down.
Loved this installment. Can’t wait for more from Ellis.
