“What happened to the fighters they were beaten to death by the radical feminist socialist left. And That would have happened if God had not intervened and given us Donald Trump”
“It is always hard to tell if you are dealing with evil or stupidity when dealing with a liberal. ”
Savage seems to loves Trump almost as much as he hates Democrats. He also believes that many Republicans are only out for their own interest and interest groups. One point he makes very early on in this book is that Obama tried to ruin our country and Trump is the only one that can save it. I believe Mr. Savage puts entirely too much trust into single individuals. The American government is made up of many parts (very possible too many parts) but lots of people seem to think the one person in office is the end all be all almost like a King.
One thing we do agree on is minimum wage. He thinks that deregulation is great for companies but agrees there needs to be a minimum wage because companies will pay people next to nothing if given the chance. The part we agree on is, the minimum wage is not intended to be a living wage. Minimum wage jobs are supposed to suck and people want to improve and move forward to a higher paying position.
Being unfamiliar with Savage prior to his book, some of his approaches I am not used to his style of name calling people, turkey gobbler McConnell, emperor barry.
“Trump is no longer a showman, he is now a statesman and needs to start acting like it.“
It is interesting to me when someone who hosts a radio show and has done so by himself from the beginning how because they mostly only hear themselves talk that seems to be the only part of life’s narrative they understand. Their own voice. I felt most of this book was directed at people that already listen to his show. Much like CNN or FoxNews how they cater to their viewership. Savage doesn’t seem to care to bring in new people through long logical conversations of conservatism. It is easier to say anyone who doesn’t think like him is a “degenerate” and actors who lean to the left are “dead” to him.
Climate scientists are liars. They are in it just for money. Conservatives are the only ones trying to conserve the earth. Environmentalist only use scare tactics. Very few people actually believe in climate change.
A few statements he makes he will back up with lots of data. Some of his topics he will throw out some statement and then like most media people never really give any information. “Emperor Barry hand chose illegal immigrants to allow in this country as long as they had a disease and then spread the immigrants all over America.” Now we don’t know if illegals had all their shots (wait are we supposed to vaccinated?) but throwing it out there like President Obama was the sole person in charge of it is kind of humorous.
Savage closes the book discussing how we need to stay vigilant in watching Trump follow through what he said he would do, like lower taxes, defeat ISIS, and most of all build the wall. Savage thinks we need to keep watching all our politicians and boot them when they no longer are making logical (albeit Savage only thinks conservatives ever make the right decision) choices for our future.
A couple of takeaways from this book. I would like to find a conservative author that lays out the long complex answers to me. I am kind of dense and need more than just liberals are evil as an answer. The second thing I wondered if Savage has millions of listeners to his radio show (I know this because he told me many times throughout this book) why he didn’t narrate the book himself. I know people with famous voices like Bill O’Reilly or Malcolm Gladwell will usually narrate their own books because people are already used to their voice.
