review 1: More a 3.5 and possibly a reflection on how I feel at the moment (and after reading a 2), but I loved this book. It's indulgent with short sharpe humour, which really just cheered me up!Following the life of off the wall Coco Pritchard, the downfall of her novel, marriage and reputation, the chapters of this book follow an email trail between herself and various friends/family members. I loved the fact that Bryndza stayed true to character, especially in regards to Coco and her mother in law. Despite the endearing nature of Ethel, her sharpe tongue and families thrusting of her onto our heroine, continues to grate on Coco despite how much the reader warms to her (and secretly hopes she'll move in).If you are in the midst of a busy lifestyle, have no current time for an epi... morec, this is the perfect book. It has got me geared up for some heavy duty reading....or maybe a bit of Pratchett.
review 2: I do like email style stories..but it was not as funny as what other reviewers raved about. It was mostly emails sent from her to her friends, but not much replies..just copy and paste from her sent emails. There was maybe about 3 times i had laughed at some stupid remarks. I guess i didnt enjoy it as much as i thought i might. It's taken place in England? London? I'm not sure..but there are times i do not understand the word cause its a European slang or something, IDK..I did get myself to finish the book. I wanted to see where it was going and how it was going to end. less

It was easy enough to read - but as a 20-something the way her son was portrayed was so cliché.
