review 1: I've got to hand it to Adam in this one for putting up with CoCo's mood for 9 months!! There were so many times throughout that I wanted to tell her to get over herself!! Maybe it's because I have four kids of my own..It's not all about you anymore!!! Aside from her persistent bitchyness, the storyline was great. Again, it was not fluff. It reached into deeper and darker places. Relationships struggle to remain strong and family & friendship bonds are tested. A much beloved character falls into a really dark place and that was very upsetting to watch it evolve through the pages. I've got to say, the indestructible Ethel, and her never ending supply of keys, has been my favorite throughout the series!!
review 2: Told through diary entries rather than ema
... moreil messages, Coco navigates the "joys" of pregnancy at age 45 while worrying about the success of her newest book and hunky husband Adam's struggle to find work. As always, author Robert Bryndza succeeds in squeezing humor out of life's challenges, sprinkled with a few outrageous events that could only happen to Coco. Unfortunately, pregnancy seems to bring out Coco's worst traits - self-doubt, jealousy, jumping to unfounded conclusions, and downright meanness - perfectly understandable for a pregnant Coco, just not as amusing as the more free-wheeling Coco of previous installments. But ex-mother-in-law Ethel is in top form in Consequences of Love and Sex and Bryndza puts her in the story at just the right moments, along with giving Coco's last romp a satisfying ending. less

An enjoyable, quick-paced book that complements its two predecessors well.
