review 1: Well this certainly wasn't anything like a Big Fat Greek Wedding. I was expecting something light and fluffy but got something deeper and darker! Although I was surprised by the plot,I try not to read reviews, I really enjoyed it. All of the outrageous cast of characters return and few more are added. Relationships change and not always for the best. Throughout it all, Coco's faith in Adam remains strong even when many (including myself) were doubting. I totally recommend for those who want to see what happens after the first book.
review 2: This is the second book in the Coco Pinchard series. I read the first one a little over a year ago and enjoyed it. i enjoyed this one to but to a lesser degree. As characters were being re-introduced in this book,
... moreI had to wonder who they were. Unfortunately, I had forgotten many of the characters from the first book and the author assumes you remember them. In many book series, you can skip a book with no problem of character development. Not so with this book. Eventually, I did remember the characters.Coco Pinchard is now divorced from her husband Daniel. Their son, Rosencrantz, is working at Ambercrombie & Fitch but is a budding actor. He did perform in an injury claims TV ad. Meryl & Tony are as snobby as ever. Mother-in-law Ethyl is still funny. Friends Chris & Malika are there for her - for the most part. Chris has a job in Devon for a few months, and she and Malika had a fight. Adam is back in her life. He's been accused of fraud (stealing 200,000 pounds from his company) and his fired and put on trial. Coco believes he is innocent but Malika doesn't which ended up in their fight. Coco's new book is permanently on hold now because of his trial. Even with high priced lawyers, Coco and friends try to prove Adam's innocence.I would have liked to see more "romance" between Adam & Coco. After all, they are in love.Fun story written in the same format as the first in the series; it was written from her perspective in her emails to her friends & family.Little tidbit: Author writes that Adam's daughter, Holly, was wearing an LA Lakers football t-shirt. LA Lakers is an NBA team, not football team. less
