review 1: Si una máquina te pudiera decir cómo vas a morir, ¿te atreverías a usarla?Este libro es una colección de cuentos basados en la idea de que podemos saber cómo vamos a morir y nuestro actuar después de saberlo, sobretodo cuando e resultado es tan ambiguo como la mayoría de los papeles arrojados por la máquina. Y es que ¿cómo te comportarías si tu papel tuviera escrito avión o ahogamiento ? ¿sería una bendición para vivir tu vida al máximo o solo evitaría que la disfrutaras? Lo que más me gustó fue, cual relato de Edipo, esa lucha totalmente humana contra lo inevitable y los intentos siempre desesperados por tratar de controlar nuestro futuro.
review 2: Lots of interesting stories, all based around the concept of a machine that tells how one ... morewill die, but does so in an ambiguous and useless manner. If you'd like to delve into this collection, I recommend taking it in sips rather that all at once. Because the premise is obviously the same for each tale, it gets a bit repetitive after a while. Each story has its own take and I think I would have appreciated the individuality and uniqueness more if I hadn't burned out on the idea a bit. less
