review 1: Okay, this novel was extremely predictable in terms of character development and plot, but nevertheless, it is worth reading. Gardening and nurturing the soil brings its own kind of magic into the world. This is a love story- all kinds of love between characters, a love story between humans and nature, and a love story about Love. Despite its predictability, I still shed a sentimental tear or two and thus feel it deserves 5 stars for the feel-good benefits.
review 2: I really loved the story . A great romance and healing of families through a beautiful garden and a French gardener who helped make it happen, for the two different owners of the same home. The book goes back and forth between the owners in 1979 and the ones who buy the house in 2005. So many gr... moreeat characters, descriptions and emotions all rolled into one, all healed by their love for the gardens. less
