review 1: This ARC was graciously (thank you)given to me by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. The Forgotten Girls by Sara Blaedel is a great crime mystery book. This book is scheduled to be published on early February 2015. Blaedel resides in Denmark and is the author of the best selling police detective novels featuring Louise Rick. This was my first book by Blaedal, I found it to be brilliant. The plot and twists were intriguing and keep me interested. The setting for this book is in Denmark, which sounds beautiful. We find the main character Louise Rick has just taken a new position in a Special Search Agency to find unresolved missing people. She gets a brand new murder case immediately and a new partner ( which she none too impressed with at first). Here is the twis... moret, the murder victim has been declared dead for 30 years, but only actually died a few days ago. The deceased and her twin were born with disabilities and were placed in an institution where they were abused and parents were discouraged from seeing them. Louise was an intelligent investigator and her partner work well with her. I don't want to give too much away here, but it was an excellent mystery book. If you like Lee Child or James Patterson, you might want to give her a try.I give The Forgotten Girls by Sara Blaedel 4 PlatypiresBAMA Love! Roll Tide!!!, and Keep Reading Y'all!
review 2: The Forgotten Girls is a story about twins who were born with disabilities and are sent away to an institution where they are abused in the worst possible way. After more than 25 years have past, a body turns up dead in the forest. It is Louise Ricks job as commander of the new missing persons unit to find out who this dead woman is and how she died. The more Louise and her partner Eik dig into this case the more twisted things become. This is my first time reading Ms. Blaedel and I have to say I enjoyed the first half of this book. About half way through I feel things started to get more and more unbelievable. Like she was just throwing things in just to finish the book up. The ending was a fast jumbled mess that was so unbelievable I just couldn't wait for it to be over. less

Ik zou deze thriller niet literair willen noemen. Zit wel vaart in.
