review 1: This was a freebie and I enjoyed it immensely...so much so that I purchased the Complete Texas Soul Series Box set...Lane and Gresh's journey was hampered by many obstacles but they made in the end. If I had a complaint, it would be that there was a lot of story leading up to the end, but the ending--though exactly what I wanted--left me a bit flat. I look forward to reading the remainder of the series...this was a great choice and a must read....
review 2: I felt is was too unrealistic most times, but I did enjoy the read. There's a lot of sex, but some people like that. It didn't bother me. I liked the characters, though I thought they were also too unrealistic. I liked where the story was set, South Texas. I don't see a romance like this happening here, but
... moreI hope so and like I stated, I did enjoy the fact that the couple were from here and didn't face too much ugliness in the story. Towards the end there is some danger, but luckily, no one is killed. I was moved during one passage where one character was about to make a drastic mistake, but he was in a lot of emotional pain and you could understand where he was coming from.It reads like a romance novel and that's not such a bad thing in my book. Hot Texas cowboys, loving, sex and a HEA....something to read at the beach or by the pool, or if you don't want to read anything too heavy while being involved in your two characters hot romance.I guess sexy read would be a good definition IMHO. less

A lot of repetition and ending with a time-worn plot device that would have been better left off...

Didn't like that one at all. It had too much of a soap opera for my taste.
