review 1: As an avid romance reader, I expected Amelia and Graham to begin developing feelings for one another eventually. Although the setting is during the early 1800s, they main characters lacked something... I get Amelia wanted to keep the child of Graham's and his late wife but she seemed so desperate her intentions of marriage appeared to be stupid. Her plan did not appear so well thought out while Graham delayed on a response. Because of the time period, I fully understand the urge to be married. Expected more!!!
review 2: This book got my attention right away and kept it. I loved the characters, the romance, the adventure. Amelia and Graham were very likeable. I really liked that Amelia was so devoted to Lucy. I didn't realize that this book was categorized a
... mores "Christian fiction" before I started reading it. It wasn't like spiritualism overwhelmed the book or the plot, but I felt like some of the meditations on faith seemed forced in/ out of place. less

A lovely Regency romance with some intrigue, as well. I really liked the two main characters.

2.5 stars. Maybe I have read too many books of this kind lately but this one was just okay.
