review 1: Terrific central premise (signifcant, long-ago friendship between 'Goodnight Moon' author Margaret Wise Brown and the main character's beloved aunt uncovered) utterly eclipsed (ha -- sorry for the pun!) by overwrought plotting and painfully bad writing. I understand this author has other, much better books to her credit. Her editor should be held accountable for allowing this to publish without major revisions.
review 2: The main reason for my 3 star rating is the romance between June and Gavin. I've loved all of Sarah Jio's books but was slightly disappointed in this book. It seemed like it was thrown together quickly, like a report you write the night before it's due! It is really too bad because the story line itself was fun and very exciting with some un
... moreexpected twists. I just never felt the relationship build between June and Gavin. They went from being neighbors to making life time commitments. It just seemed forced. I would still recommend this book for others to read, it is still enjoyable!! less

Love Sarah Jio, but this wasn't my fave... Still, read it in one sitting so the SJ magic continues!

Very good book about what was the inspiration for the children's book "Hello Moon".

Not the best chick-lit, but fast and mindless... a little too predictable.
