review 1: Another decent offering in the Ben Hope series and this time it's personal. Three people are missing; one of them happens to be Ben's ex-girlfriend, Dr Brooke Marcel, and he will do whatever it takes to find her. The trail takes him from Ireland to South America and includes a history lesson on the Spanish Armada and sunken treasure. It takes a while for Ben to connect all the dots but his focus and drive keep him going and he picks up an unlikely partner along the way.

Loved this book - you know exactly what you're going to get with these novels and it didn't disappoint, with the usual gun toting characters, conspiracy theories and explosive action - but this time it's got personal! No mention at th... moree end if there will be another book in the series, and the way it ends makes me wonder if Ben Hope has now been officially retired. I hope not because I've thoroughly enjoyed every one of these books. less
