review 1: I really enjoyed this story. It is also totally possible. Some people are totally set in their ways that they don't even know why they are doing it except the fact that it was what their ancestors did. I mean, people would stone their own parents or kids! I don't think something this big would actually happen in the U.S., but Jackson used a big thing that we modern people think of as inhumane, so we would get the point. Even if it's something really small, I tradition can be just as stupid and useless as the town in this stories lottery.
