review 1: A disappointing installment in the David Hunter series. There's some good storytelling here. However, the protagonist, who has been a smart guy in other books, spends almost all of these pages being led around by his nether head. The woman doing the leading clearly has a hidden agenda, and somehow asking her "What's up with you?" never manages to become a priority. The deserted tin mines on the moor make for an interesting setting for some of the action.
review 2: In questo libro mi sembra che Beckett si cominci a piegare alle dinamiche del guadagno. 'La voce dei morti' sembra scritto frettolosamente e sembra che l'autore abbia finito le trovate geniali che hanno fatto di David Hunter un bel personaggio. Non nascondo di aver fatto un po' fatica a terminarlo. Il... more finale non � male (come sempre nei libri di Beckett) ma non riesco a dargli pi� di 3 stelle. Alla fine comunque, una cosa � certa, Hunter porta sfiga! less
