Kathleen also discovers a recently deceased body in a flooded basement. In that case, a motive for murder is first on the agenda. There is never a dull moment in Kathleen’s life, although her detective friend Marcus wishes she would pay less attention to his job and focus more on other things. But with her two magical cats, how could she do otherwise? Another delightful installment in this entertaining series.
review 2: A lot more coffee than the previous story but a little less pastry. Lots of coincidences happen to solve a couple of murders, one old and one recent. It seem... mores that Kathleen Paulson has one of those jobs where you rarely have to actually do any work, so she spends her time having conversations with everyone in town. And for some reason, they all feel a need to confide in her their darkest secrets. Her two magical cats play a small part in finding some clues along the way. Good story if you like coffee, small town drama, and mundane chick talk. less
