review 1: "Accidents of Providence" was an interesting book about a period of history about which little has been written. The research seemed very solid and the story was fascinating, until the last 1/3 of the book where it took kind of a strange turn. The characters were not particularly engaging, which may have been why I didn't rate the book higher. I would definitely consider reading another book by this author.
review 2: I was not too sure what to expect by this book. It well wrote and you become very engrossed in the characters life. I actually became very upset in parts of this book, feeling the desperation and sadness the main character develops. I usually wait until I have read a book a couple of times before I write a review but I believe this is worth a... more thumbs up. I will be interested to read other books by Stacia M Brown. less
