review 1: This is a cozy mystery w/sex. If you just happened to pick this up without reading the other books, I strongly advise you not to read this out of order. More than any other series I have read, this one follows in a real tight time frame and builds on the previous books. It is a good series and the characters kinda grow on you.A series killer is stalking Atlanta leaving a charm in the mouth of each victim. This mystery is not solved in this book and it looks like it doesn't resolve till book 6. I am not a fan of this style of series, but am caught all the same. So much so, that I rolled directly into book 5.Olympic gold marathon runner Eva McCoy has her charm bracelet stolen during an appearance at Neiman's and Carlotta solves that mystery. Carlotta is on the body pi... moreckup when the first victim of the Charmed Killer is found, as well as the next two. Coop finds the charm in #1's mouth. Jack has a new, very hot partner - Maria, who takes an instant dislike to Carlotta. Jack and Carlotta continue to dance around each other and end up in bed, again. Wesley, in addition to his other problems not has an Oxy problem too. The kid is a royal muck up.
review 2: So far, this has been my favorite Body Movers book. It felt like it went easier on the back story and more on current events. The characters felt truer and the story moved faster.All made for a good story, except the way Carlotta solves a mystery like she's Poirot. Also that her father is a suspect seems so random and stupid. No motive at all, no evidence, it was just too random.I would have given it 5 stars but... there was no ending to it. One situation got resolved but four others were created. less
