review 1: I stopped reading Stuart Woods books a few years ago; they were all the same, especially the Stone Barrington stories: everyone is rich, sexy, and lots of sexual action. I enjoyed the Holly Barker and Will Lee characters more. This book has a mix of characters, with the exception of Stone Barrington. Woods' books are still easy reads with little substance, but hey, if you want light, fast reading (which is what I have been looking for over the summer), Santa Fe Edge will do the trick. Even though the formula of money, etc. is still the same, I actually enjoyed this book more than I have any of Woods' books in quite some time.

... morese is darkened by a woman who pushes the rules of greed too far by murdering anyone who gets in her way. A rogue ex-CIA agent is part of the point-counterpoint of mystery and mayhem. With 40 novels to his credit, Woods' storytelling skills are well honed. I could use some help figuring out future selections among this large set of choices. less

Teddy Fay, Lance Cabot, Holly Barker, and (new to me) Ed Eagle. Light read, but I enjoyed it.
