review 1: It was alright.It was a story about a middle aged woman named Em who is a brilliant scientist who falls for her equally brilliant but much younger assistant who, unbeknownst to her, has a very hot and rich model boyfriend. They all fall in love with each other but Em is forced to choose between her new manage relationship or her position at the University due to the scandal her relationship will cause.I thought the story was a little unbelievable (more so than what I normally allow for) in that Em falls in love with her assistants boyfriend and vise a versa so quickly. After only a weekend together they have decided that they would be oh so happy if they were to move in together.Jake,her assistant, I can see. They've had a crush on each other for 2 years but Roan, Jake's b... moreoyfriend, and her have just met and they have decided that they too have fallen for each other. The sex scenes are okay. She is intimate with each of them separably as well as together. Naturally since they were together first, Jake and Roan are also together. I've read hotter though.
review 2: I found Jake more irritating in this book than in the first one. His selfish demands (to Roan and then to Em, his boss) were the acts of a juvenile; he issued ultimatum after ultimatum (to Em) and didn't seem to understand that she valued all the time and effort she had put into her career. Yet, strangely (not really), he wasn't willing to make any concessions till the very end (as in the first book). I would have said that Roan would have been better off with Em alone but that would never have worked since Roan was simply too gay to be happy with just a woman alone (though he seemed to have no problems performing with Em while they were alone in a hotel overnight following a date). I think I would have enjoyed the story with a stronger central character than Jake. I found Em far from satisfying for a woman of 37 (well, since both men aged a year between books and she was 36 in book 1 I assumed she aged a year even though she was still 36 in this second book LOL). She behaved like a naughty school girl in several parts which was kind of out of place for the type of character she was supposedly portrayed as being.Frankly, the only character I liked was Roan. less
