review 1: I really liked the story, but don't like that there really isn't a resolution, though I knew there wouldn't be before reading. It just means I have to spend more money to find out what happens. I do like the characters and this brief introduction to them. It is intriguing and does what I'm sure the authors intended to do; makes you desire to want more. The thing I didn't like was that nothing really happened but the girl was taken by someone claiming to be her true family. I really didn't gather any more information by reading this first installment than from reading the description of the book itself. ... moreistian, I wonder where Jesus comes in. A man kidnaps a young girl and all through out the book you see no good, but the end of episode one is really good and leaves you wanting more! I got this book free but now I will need to save up and download the others. I have never been a fan of Ted Dekker, but I like it because it reminds me of another book I had read. Can't wait to read episode two! less

Too intense for young readers. Typical Dekker thriller.
