review 1: This is one of the many books in the Fly Guy series by Tedd Arnold. "Hooray For Fly Guy!" is an entertaining story for beginning readers. Fly Guy makes the football team and sits the bench, and Buzz and Fly Guy are out to prove that flies can play football. Fly Guy, through a series of hilarious actions, wins the game for his team. The story is complimented by very funny illustrations depicting what Fly Guy is doing throughout the game. I have read this book with several first graders whom really enjoyed it. It was a book that was easy for them to read because the words are short and familiar, and the pictures give the reader strong visual cues for what an unknown word might be. This is an excellent book/series for beginning readers, and could be very helpful when conducti... moreng DRA's. The paperback editions are very reasonably priced as well! This would be a great collection for a K-1 classroom!
review 2: This book was great about Fly Guy making them win the game. The team that Fly Guy and Buzz were rooting for was about to lose the game. My family has a touchdown dance too. That's why I gave it 5 stars, and I'm sure my family will read more Fly Guy books once we see more in the library. Fly guy books are friendshipiftic. That's another reason I gave it 5 stars. This is the 5th Fly Guy book we've read. That's an unusual other reason why I gave it 5 stars. less
