review 1: A quick story about Dr. Isles and her involvement with a murdered mystery man. Maura meets a very debonair man at a fund raiser. The next morning she awakens on her own sofa, she is missing a shoe, and she has no recollection of how she got home. Shortly after that, Jane shows up at her door asking Maura if she can identify a John Doe found murdered that morning, with Maura's address on a card in his pocket. Maura becomes suspect number one. Eventually they learn that Maura's debonair man was an impostor who it seems, works with a serial rapist. Maura was not raped, however, which raises the question of why not? Eventually they discover who is responsible for the murder of the debonair man and, as it turns out, the actual rapist. No surprise, it isn't M... moreaura.
review 2: John Doe is a remarkable short story. Dr. Maura Isles attends a party, drinks champagne with an attractive stranger, and wakes up the next day without being able to recall hours of the night before. The attractive stranger that Dr. Isles met the at the party is found murdered in a park with her number in his pocket. I'm not going to spoil the ending of this book. I love this series, and all of the Rizzoli and Isle's books are a very addicting read. The book is an e-book, and only a 50 page read. less
