review 1: I had read this book many years ago, before the current revisions had been added. I had previously found it a wonderful reference and help in understanding the Book of Mormon. I feel the current version does an even better job of this. The current version includes updated quotes from the apostles, that add layers of meaning to the Book of Mormon as applied in our day. I noticed a trend for some of the quotes to come from certain sources, and I will now be moving to those sources to glean from them what I can. If you have not made the Student Manual a part of your Book of Mormon study in the past, I highly recommend you do so now. It helps combine what we have been given anciently, with what we have been given thru modern prophets and apostles.
review 2: I read ... morethis as a study guide as I read the Book of Mormon. It took me a while because I essentially had to read twice as much every night, and there were far too many nights when I didn't feel like reading that much. But I did finish them both and I definately learned more than if I had just read the Book of Mormon all by itself again. There is no doubt that this is an inspired piece of work. I'm really glad I have it on my shelf. less
