review 1: I liked this book better than the first. There was more action and a clearer view to what the baddies were up to. The actions and beliefs of the chief villian felt like a direct correlation to what is happening in the world today. Taking a value and abusing its intent, defending a belief to the point of no compromise, or mercy. When you find yourself sympathizing with the devil....Aaron is growing into his role, Gabe is still so funny, and I'm still not sure how I feel about Vilma. I hope she toughens up and becomes a more viable part of this story. I was sad to see some of the more interesting characters move on, but look forward to reading part 3.
review 2: When we join Aaron, he is still learning how to use his angelic powers and knows very little about his
... moreorigins. The supporting characters in the book are well drawn: Aaron’s angel protector and mentor Camael, his dog Gabriel, who provides what little light relief there is in the book, and the citizens of Aerie, a sanctuary for the fallen.Heroes and villains are not simply drawn in black and white and even those painted by history as truly evil may have some redeeming qualities. Aaron Corbet is a hero to those who believe in the prophecy but to Verchiel, leader of the Powers, he is an inconvenience in the latter’s hunt to punish the fallen. Throughout the book, more and more of the history of the angel wars is revealed and these angels carry plenty of battle scars inside and out – with many atrocities carried out in the name of what is right. The Fallen owes a debt to the avenging angels of Milton and the Old Testament with plenty of battles and descriptions of weaponry to keep readers interested. Just don’t expect too much in the way of romance.Aaron is quite hypnotic for me. It was ok but I did not like the whole story. less

Again this is a two part book. I finished Aerie and it was intense. The powers leader, Verchiel, is set on distroying Aaron Corbet, because he is the boy that can reunite the Fallen Angles with Heaven. Verchiel will stop at nothing to end his life, and he uses the only people left, that Aaron loves, to bring him to the end.Aaron now finding Aerie, and trained with the fallen angles is now ready to do battle. It is his inner strength that pulls him through this battle to try to save the only people left in his life. Who will he lose in the is battle, but who is back in his life. You will have to read the book to find out.Due out September 6th,

I am not sure if the writer meant to in adding everyone doing something all at the same time. The flash backs, which took up most of the book made it hard to read and I found myself flipping pages to find the end of these flash backs. As a reader having background is really nice to have, but not every few pages. Aaron never really came into who he was supposed to be. I would agree that there will be another book or book set with a closing. The storyline when it was going it was great and the battles were great too. I would have liked to see more in the final battle. God stepped in the first time I was sure he would have in the last time.

As good as the 1st and 2nd but the romance is lacking...a lot... as usual.
