review 1: I found this book very very hard to get in to, but when I finished the first book, I devoured the rest of the series. The chapters kept switching between characters and I had to keep reminding myself who was who and whether they were a good guy or bad guy. Although after reading for a while it got a lot easier, and was very enjoyable. Recommended for anyone looking for a less romanticised version of a book about angels.
review 2: It was really good, but it didn't feel quite 5 star-worthy. For one thing, I felt like I never really got to know Aaron. I could predict what Gabriel or Camael would do at any given moment, but not Aaron. His character was very uninteresting. On the other hand, the plot was very interesting. It kept me reading. However, I think most no
... moren-Christians, or at least those unfamiliar with the Christian faith, would not appreciate some of the finer plot points. The book was very gory at points, especially towards the climax, so I would not suggest it for those with weak stomachs. Definitely a good book for the good-but-not-great shelf. less

The story was okay. It moved nicely in the beginning but then I had to struggle to finish it.
