review 1: The book the Football Champ by Tim Green is a very good book. What happens is that Troy who is the main character in the book is a back up quarterback for the tigers middle school football team. His main coach is really mean to troy. Troy does something and the coach quits and troy gets put in at starting quarterback. The new coach for the new team is seth Holloway. He is a CB for the Atlanta falcons. They Falcons just make it into the playoffs. But troy helps out also by calling defensive plays for Atlanta falcons defense . A reporter named peel thinks that troy is just stealing the other teams play and know there a big argument and somehow steroids being used got mentioned and know seth has to take a test to see if he is using steroids. I like this book because it has ... moreaction, and sports in it I would recommend this book to any kid that likes to play football or even watch football.
review 2: Troy is a true football champ. Troy works with the Atlanta Falcons and also plays for his high school football team. He is a consultant for the Atlanta Falcons.The reason he got in with the Atlanta Falcons is because his mom works for them and is also dating one of the football players. He can predict the plays of the other teams before they even get on the field. The team doesn't know that yet, but when they find out, he helps lead them to victories week after week. Troy is also having an amazing season on his high school football team the Duluth Tigers. They are undefeated and are on their way to play in the championship game to win the state title.. Then one day everything started going wrong for Troy. A reported by the name of Brent Peele is not a big fan of the falcons and now that they are winning he is going after Troy, because he knows that troy is behind the scenes of all this. Brent is doing everything in his power to talk down Troy and even try to get him hurt. With Peele doing this, it could affect his job with the Falcons and the chance of him playing in the state championship game. Troy steps up to the plate though and stands up for him and Seth. Troy is now going to play in the state championship game. Not only did he play in it but he lead The Duluth Tigers to a victory and the right to call them state champions. Troy was the best player on his football team. When things started to go bad, he let everything get to him and really wasn't as focused. He decided to step up and stand up for him, his team, Seth, and the Atlanta Falcons. His character really showed when he proved to everyone that he was a leader and take on any challenge that came his way. This book is a great book for Athletes to read especially football players. I think this can show how times can be tough and how a team can come together and work through things. I would recommend this for the ages of 12-18. I feel if you read between these ages you will truly get the lesson out of this book. less
