Football Genius
review 1: paragraph 1: In my book Troy is a football genius and knows how to predict what plays an oppents offense is gonna run, he has a special gift that no one has, he's called The a Football Genius by his family because of it. Troy works with the NFL and is getting many offers to sign with many teams, this makes him excited yet nervous. Troy is also a QB for a little league team but has hurt his thumb in a game so Troy takes pain killers to make the pain go away, the coach is the Atlanta falcons star linebacker Seth, that got Troy thejob for the Falcons. Troy has a good life going on, he's really happy and knows what he's doing the only problem is that he has no dad, but and unexpected vist from a guy turns out to be troys dad. When he and his father meet Troy becomes confused a... morend lost because he's never met his dad. Troy finds out the this dad is hiding something from him and wants to find out and know what it is. Paragraph 2: I would recommend this book to any one who loves sports novels and a some what mysterious book. It is defiantly written for people who likes sports because the author "Tim Green" was an adopted child who grew up playing football and playing the starting linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons. Anyone who's not into sports I would not recommend this book to. This book was by far my favorite out of all the sports books I read and I can't wait to look for more by the same author because he himself has had the football experience and is putting kinda his experiences in gphis novels, that's what make the book so good and interesting to read about.
review 2: This book leads off right where his last one ends. Troy and his football team has just won the state championship game and Troy and the rest of the football team are at his mother’s boyfriend’s house, Seth, celebrating the big victory. All of the sudden there is a knock at the door. When Troy walks to the front door, he realized that the man speaking with his mother is his dad that had abandoned him as a child. Troy is ecstatic and and wants to fulfill all this hopes and dreams of having his dad there for him. Try’s mom however, believes his dad is only trying to use Troy to get money. Now that Troy is being recognized for his football skills and for his job with the falcons, she thinks he is here to abuse and take advantage of Troy. The FBI even gets involved and reveals a devastating secret. Troy goes against his mother’s word and sneaks around to see his father. Eventually, fed up with his mother’s refusal to let him see his dad, Troy decides to run to New York to seek a better deal with the Jets. Also, Seth break the news to Troy that he and his closest friend has been chosen to be apart of the biggest football game in the state. He tries to prepare for the game while also struggling to believe his mom or his dad. Anyone could enjoy this book. It has a great plot and the book is interesting throughout the entire novel. Most of the people I would recommend this book to are sports lovers. Anyone interested in sports novels and especially football novels could relate and be very interested in the book. Also anyone that has had any issues with their father not being in their life could also relate and enjoy this story. I would not recommend this book to females although I believe they could enjoy it. It was an easy read so I think anyone over the ago of 10 would not have any trouble reading it. Overall, I think that anyone who likes a good story and anyone who enjoys a coming of age book would really appreciate this novel.I give this book four out of five stars. It has a great plot and many twists and turns. I was interested throughout the novel. Tim Green in my opinion is an amazing author and his book kept me interested from start to finish. Although i loved this book I feel like there was some unnecessary information and parts that he added just to make the book longer. That is my only complaint. The structure of the novel is good and I was satisfied with the ending of the last book in this three book series.Simile: “It was like he had always been there”Personification: “The tress whistled past us”Hyperbole: “Her faced looked hotter than the sun” less
