review 1: Thank god, Potter lives again as I would have been seriously depressed if he had stayed dead. Tim never fails to surprise, confuse, taunt and mislead me - kind of like a magician as it's all smoke and mirrors though the real substance is subtle and hidden beneath the many layers of this story. Dead Push was quite different to many of the other books in this series, loose ends were nicely tied up regarding the past though I wanted to find out who the damn photographer was as it was driving me crazy. It was quite funny at times to read Potter and Jack's interactions, talk about grumpy old men and their snarky repartee with a touch of violence as only they can excel at. Reading from Jack's POV was interesting to say the least and this insight into his mind was quite frighten... moreing at times. Weirdly enough I could understand how circumstances and his poor choices led him down his current path yet even he tried his hand at redemption for Kiera's benefit. With the two Worlds colliding and so many secrets being revealed plus another huge cliff hanger, I am sure the best is yet to come.
review 2: Wow! I waited on this for months. I can breath easier now. Tim kind of had me going berserk, what with the way the last book ended. Although, I was a little sympathetic towards Jack a few books back, it's still hard for me to like him. Him and Potter working together is something I didn't see coming. No spoilers, but if you've been following this series, then this book is no exception. It's a must read! By the end you will be crawling out of your skin because you think you've figured it out. One thing I've learned in the last year reading these books, you cannot predict what Tim will put in this story. He's just that brilliant! I wanted to take his head off after the last book! Seriously! I love the series so much and it's characters. I can't wait until the next one to see if I'm right about my theory. Another great book from an amazing author! less
