review 1: I'm a "sucker" for a great cover and picking it up for free, made the decision to read "Vampire Shift" an easy one. I had high hopes for a unique vampire Tałe after getting in a few chapters....Kiera Hudson was bringing the whole CSI/police aspect into the strange town that she was assigned to and my interest was peaked as she set out to solve the mystery of people disappearing....add in the possibility of a love interest and I was hooked....Unfortunately the hook didn't set and I found myself hurrying thru the pages 3/4 of the book....I did finish it as I was hoping Luke and Kiera's relationship would develop more....but then again there are more books in this series...It was an enjoyable read if you are looking for a different take on the vampire g... moreenre.
review 2: Just when I didn’t think a book could about vampires and romance could even be unique or creative anymore along comes this little jewel. “Vampire Shift” is unique, exciting, suspenseful but not necessarily a fearful/afraid type of suspense, but a heart-pounding, cannot get up and go to the bathroom or else you will miss something kind of suspense. The author, Tim O’Rourke, has given us a whole new type of paranormal book and I am forever grateful for his creativity.I finished this book in one day. ONE DAY! Even with my crazy work schedule, I pushed everything aside to finish this because it was just that good. The characters were so well developed and their interaction with one another was just great. I started out rooting for one person, and then things shifted so I started rooting for another, and by the time the book was over, I was flabbergasted. I was literally shell shocked. The end of this book will leave you panting for the next one.This book is for vampire lovers who want a little romance with their bite. Oh, even though “Vampire Shift” is a paranormal romance, it is still mild enough for the young vampire lovers in your house too. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. less
