review 1: If you have a similar taste to mine it may take you quite some time to get captivated by this book but don’t give up! The story gets better and better and BETTER with each chapter. I think Peter Jackson would make this story into one of his masterpieces! If you’ve watched King Kong and remember the atmosphere of the island, the strange tribe with its cult and the horrid creatures (beside King Kong himself), you know what I mean. The book has a very good Christian message as well. I am looking forward to reading more by Tom Pawlik!
review 2: I had picked this book up at the library a couple of weeks ago because the description sounded interesting and having never read anything by the author, Tom Pawlik, before decided to give it a try. From the moment that... more I started reading, I was drawn into the story and didn't want to set the book down. More along the lines of a thriller with a bit of what I would classify as sci-fi thrown in. Kept me guessing as to how things would turn out. As long as you don't mind giant spiders with 4 ft. leg spans you will be okay with the story. I will definitely be on the lookout for more of his books. less
