review 1: This book not only met all of my personal criteria I look for in a book it set off enough bells and whistles to report a five alarm fire! I was captured in the first pages by the patagonist, Phil Hunt, a drug-smuggling, ex-con who isn't exactly who he first appears. Then the drug deal goes awry. The pace of this novel is fast and relentless. It starts in the first pages and never lets go up until the last ones. You'll be happy you read this one if you are an action-loving reader.
review 2: Superb. This was a great book. A thriller, with plenty of action sure, but with (and I can't think of a better way of easily describing this) intellect. Urban Waite (what would Steve Wright in the afternoon say to that name?!) handles all the physical stuff really wel... morel, but you understand so well about motivations, desires, the grey stuff (ie not everything is black and white) that it makes for such an enjoyable book. And a debut at that. Good stuff. less
