review 1: This book is one of the best books i have ever read. It has a great story line, in my opinion, it has a great moral too. I think that the moral is that no matter what happens, a book can make everyone happy. The books is very colorful and since Mr. Joyce himself wrote this book, its all hand- illustrated. The book also has a short film that is very well created. I recommend this book to anyone, It does have a sad ending but than again, it depends on the persons opinion. I hope everyone reads this book, its entrancing and so well done. Mr. Morris Lessmore, is a fascinating character.
review 2: This is an absolutely wonderful book. I love it. It tells the story of Mr. Lessmore, a writer who, after losing the words of his own book, meets a flying book that takes h... moreim to a magical library. He befriends all of the different types of books and, inspired by his flying book friends, eventually finishes writing his own book. I would use this in my classroom to begin the start of a creative writing unit. Students would get to create their own "flying book" just like Mr. Morris Lessmore in the story. The story would also work wonderfully to discuss motivation and frustration in writing; Mr. Lessmore experiences his own frustrations when writing his book. less
