review 1: Perhaps it was at an over-sizing of the expectations, but this volume was pretty disappointing, this episode of the story generated nothing to me.In the whole series I come to find that there's a great asepsy in the narrative, perhaps the intention is highlighting even more the recounted atrocities but didn't work for me, to my eyes the result it's an aloofness in the narration that has made difficult my empathy with the characters and feelings at stake.Horses for courses, right?
review 2: This series just gets even more entrancing. In this volume I thought aww no Stefano has no true external forces pulling his attention from the tension felt sizzling off the pages between him and sylvio. We really already now how Stefano feels. It’s now just him coming to te... morerms with it. And it’s so precious to see when he does and it is really hawt as well.These two men really really set the pages on fire. they are totally in love with each other. Only Stefano is willing though to accept his fate. This man for a mob boss is the sweetest kindest gentlest man. I loved him so much. He is soooo good for Sylvio. He can show him what love is and what it means to sacrifice for love. He is loyal to a fault and just so so wonderful.But as we all now nothing ever goes as smoothly as we hope and that is seen here as well. These two go through so much I do hope that in the end of this series they are able to freely be together. Sylvio needs the the warmth and loving patience and embrace of Stefano and Stefano needs the carefree and passionate Sylvio.The danger from the outside comes from sources unexpected as we now delve into the emotional aspect of Stefano and Sylvio’s relationship.A wonderfully passionately written book where we see what love and commitment is and how much it can change you. There are still dark aspects seen in the book but we are truly focusing more on emotions in this book than the darkness. less
