review 1: Well, it did frustrate me at some points!I did want to smash my kindle at times! But dear god, this is one brilliant series.I can't see it not receiving 5 stars from me.The writing is captivating, and it pulls you so deeply into it, that it's in your veins. You feel everything while reading it:- You love- You hate- You rage- You feel humble- You feel sadAbso-fucking-lutely, one of the best epic romance ever!Thank you Nick for a great BR. We did it! We're half way through!I can feel it in my bones... We are going to miss it when it's over, so let's enjoy the rest of the ride!
review 2: I don't know how to explain my feelings on this book. I am disappointed. I do not feel Vadim and Dan acted like the Vadim and Dan of the previous book, and...I think often Dan acted
... more like an irrational teenager. Vadim was very emotional and over the top in response.I am not upset about the breakup...they got together under circumstances so extreme that it makes sense it doesn't last outside of those circumstances. I am OK with book breakup if it helps characters develop. But here? Here it didn't work for me. It felt irrational for two 40+ men to behave this way...especially men who should know better what to expect. And it felt like maneuvering so Dan can have sex with other men. Which...again is fine, it makes sense. He just discovered this part of his sexuality. My struggle is the "excuse" he was given to go into this alpha mad horn dog persona...Also...I felt Vadim was maneuvered into many bad spots so the sympathy is heavy with him. I don't know.Meh... I don't know if I will read on. less
