review 1: I loved this romantic, fierce, well written short story that starts of the series and definitely made me want to read more!!!The relationship between Evangeline and her sister Jade is a great one the rely on each other support and protection. They are each others only real family left. They both go to the woods, and Jade waits for Evangeline as she goes in and they both meet Faerie men. I have to say that I liked the relationships and the chemistry that was described this book, it was definitely a great beginning and I can't wait to read the next book Ever Shade in the Series!
review 2: Rating 3.5/5 starsEvangeline is a great prequel that helps put a few puzzle pieces together for you with regards to Evie & Shade. It doesn't explain how Evangeline ended up with
... more the Unseelie, but it does help understand where her heartache began. I laughed when I saw where her latest nickname came from. It went from Evie to Vange in Ever Shade. I am not sure if it holds any future significance but it feels like I know a secret about Shade that is yet to be revealed!!Final Thoughts: Evangeline is a great quick prequel read! less

My first in this genre and I found it very enjoyable. I'll be starting the next in the series soon.

This novella provides a good introduction to the Dark Faeries series. I'm glad I read it first.

I wish there had been more to it... But it did explain their family dynamics later...
