review 1: Really fun Supernatural book! This had exactly what I like in a spinoff book - a story, location, and monster that simply couldn't be filmed for the show. I loved the snowy, cold setting - something this winter lover longs for, especially around Christmas, while living in balmy Texas. Came close to 5 stars, but the author just didn't seem to get Sam and Dean right all the time. However, she did a nice job with Bobby - and it's always great to have Bobby back again!
review 2: This was an amazing installment. In this story, however, the scarier monster, almost, was the weather and made an interesting backdrop to the plot and the real monster. I loved everything about this book, from the descriptive scenery, to the side characters, to the monster (one of the g... morerossest monsters done in any Supernatural medium, ever), to Sam and Dean, and Bobby, just being themselves. Really enjoyed this one. less
