review 1: Having really enjoyed 3 Seconds, I knew that this book would be a rollercoaster read and I was not let down in that regard. I did find some of the coincidences too convenient from time to time, but what I was really impressed with was the way that the book rattled along at a tremendous pace without compromising on the quality of the writing. It is a book that has at its core, one main message about the Death Penalty and atlough it flits about from country to country, it ends up being clear how the authors feel about the Death Penalty. The twists are many and frequent, and the denouement is o that is, all told, very satisfying even if you have seen it coming.
review 2: This duo write incredible thrillers, always with extremely straight forward commentary abou... moret the current social situation in Sweden, and it's victims. In this book though, they take on capital punishment in the US. Scary, scary story, incredibly well researched and written and with the same familiar team of Swedish detectives that I love from the other books. If you loved the Stieg Larsson triology The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, you will love these books about DSI Ewert Grens and his team solving crime in Sweden. less
