review 1: Well this was kind of a jumbled hot mess of a story. I don't need all my stories to interconnect, but I don't think it's too crazy to ask that there be some organization. We were jumping through time and it was really hard for me to figure out if we were in the present or where I was at within the New 52 Death in the Family story arch. It really doesn't seem like this novel should've had this title. I think the real reason I rated it 2 stars instead of 3 was that the artwork was really bothering me. It was so busy it really effected how well I could follow the story. Also can we just take a minute to think about whether Catwoman's breasts could ever be that size for her with her body type? I read a lot of super hero books and that's a common issue, but for some reason in t... morehis book while her breasts were popping out of her outfit every couple of pages it made me keep removing myself from the story and think about whether a body type like what is depicted could be possible. After that terrible cliffhanger I won't be getting the next one any time soon.
review 2: The artwork is fresh and exciting, and so are the stories, particularly the second half of the book. You get to see more of the origins of Catwoman, and she feels completely reinvented and new. I feel I get to know Selina Kyle so much more, you really identify with what she is feeling and where she is coming from, and yet you still want to know more about her past - a great reason to carry on and read the next volume! less
