review 1: Really more of a three and half and I'm a bit torn about this one. On one hand this is a brash, daring, mixed up Selina Kyle who can kick butt when she has to. The art is fantastic and Catwoman does not mess around. On the other hand we get a lot of Catwoman in strange poses to get better looks at how great she looks in a cat suit and she is constantly getting bailed out by either Batman or other friends. Maybe we'll see something different in later volumes, I'm interested in that much and I liked what I saw in the Death of the Family storyline. I did like the story over all and I will be picking up the next volume.
review 2: I wish I liked Catwoman more than I do. I wanted to like this, but this is an example of why I’m often embarrassed to admit reading sup
... moreerhero comics. Catwoman is laid out and drawn in awkward and crazy positions just so we can get a better view of her anatomy. And a subplot in this story revolved around Batman and how every time she sees him she just has to have sex with him. I guess this is all explained away by her being like “a cat,” but as I’ve gotten older I’ve just come to see it as sexist and unnecessary. The story about her being chased by some gang who wanted their stuff back wasn’t even that good. less

Jedno klišé vedle druhýho, navíc s extrémně nesympatickou hlavní postavou.
