review 1: This was a really quick read and I loved all the illustrations in the book. I was immediately drawn to the book because of the cover and the title and when I saw all the illustrations inside and all the beautiful dresses I knew I had to get this book. The premise on the back sounded interesting as well, going back in time to find that you're on the Titanic, seems like it would be a good read to me. unfortunately the story wasn't as great as I thought it would be. The beginning of the book doesn't seem that interesting, things start getting better once Louise finds out she's on the Titanic and then once the ship actually starts sinking that when things get really good but unfortunately that part is short lived. Overall it was an ok book to me but I think it would be really ... moregood for girls in the 10-13 age range.

middle gradesthird person POVAR testbook 1Cute series for girls. Louise is an upper middle class 12-year-old obsessed by fashion and has just started collecting vintage clothes when she receives a mysterious invitation to a vintage clothing sale. When she tries on a beautiful pink party dress it transports her back to the Titanic, where everyone thinks she is the owner, a 17-year-old British silent screen star. Many charming sketches showing the gowns. Some minor history thrown in but it is mainly about Louise at first enjoying the strange trip and then missing home and wanting to get back (trying to warn everyone first, of course!).

This was a really nice book. It was different than the other magical and girly books, the characters were nice and the story and the idea.. I really did like them! Bianca Turetsky wrote this book really well because I understand everything she said and thought. I imagined Louise as a 16 or 17 years old girl but she was 12 years old. It was pretty confusing! The story about Titanic and fashion together.. Well I endjoyed this so much. Easy and fast to read. :)
