review 1: Excellent beginning to a new series. I was a little worried at the beginning when the author kept jumping around but by the time I was haflway through I was loving the story. The ending is so what you are desiring for the characters throughout the book that when it finally comes its a satisfying end and beginning to the next book in the series. So refreshing to read a book by an author free of profanity and graphic sex. I love Brandon Sanderson's imaginative fantasy storytelling.
review 2: Wow, just wow. I don't think i slept for more than 4 hours at a time until I finished this book.Right when I was becomeing frustrated at ever finding a good book, I found THE WAY OF KINGS. Sanderson has made me re-evaluate when I believe to be good fantasy. He has made me que... morestion opinions I have held for years. He has made me doubt previously held beliefs! HE HAS RUINED ME FOR ALL OTHER AUTHORS!Not only are his books well written, they have full characters that you can't help but love. Sanderson's books are identified by their complete and intricate magic systems. This guy is a made genious, i don't know how he comes up with things that are so fantastic, but make so much sense, and nobody has come up with anything like it before.And not just this book. He does it again and again with all of his books.The Way of Kings is just the start to his best work yet.Also try listening to it in Audio, it is amazing. less
