review 1: This was even better than the North by Northanger mystery. This time while traveling Elizabeth and Darcy are robbed by gypsies. They go to Highbury to see the magistrate Mr. Knightly. Austen fans will recognize him and his wife Emma. Sadly it turns out that a friend, Edgar Churchill has been poisoned. Frank and Jane Churchill are two of a plethora of suspects. Darcy joins Mr. K while Elizabeth accompanies Emma in investigations and matchmaking
review 2: I enjoy this series. It is a continuation of the Jane Austen's characters of Mr. and Mrs. Darcy. They are traveling to visit family when they are robbed by a young woman and her unseen partners. They travel on to report the crime at the Highbury estate. When they arrive, they find that there has been a deat... moreh of the father of the groom in a wedding party that was being held there. Mr. Darcy volunteers to help assist in solving the mystery and Mrs. Darcy meets Emma Knightly, the wife of the local magistrate, and they join together to solve both the mystery and some matchmaking also. The book is a quick read and the whole series is a lovely salute to Jane Austen. less
