review 1: I am a fan of the Sherlock and Savage books, but this one threw me a little bit. There was so much going on in this story that I didn't see any way that it was going to join together and make sense. It seemed like Sherlock and Savage were working two cases that weren't connected and I couldn't see anyway that they were going to come together and be related. Well, I spent too much time worrying about that because there wasn't much of a connection and that was okay. The story was interesting and kept my attention. The characters were entertaining and I always like the interaction between Sherlock and Savage. The romance between Bowie and Erin was a little forced to me. I knew it was going to happen, but then it didn't really happen until the epilogue and then it jumped from ... morenot being to being. It didn't really fit with the story.
review 2: I have read very quickly Whiplash and Point Blank, both mysteries of the FBI series by Catherine Coulter. I've read several of these and always find them delightful reading. The mysteries are good, the stories are good, the characters are interesting and well developed as you read through the series. Whiplash gives us two mysteries, one much more developed then the other, but the Washington related one ends rather limply, which is why i gave the book 3stars rather than 4. less
